Sunday Christians: Are You One Of Them?

Sunday Christians, you know them. They are the ones who shout all over the church, give a long testimony, speak in tongues all service long, and tell everyone how blessed and highly favoured they are.

But as soon as church is over and the preacher says Amen.

They are trying to beat you out to the car, cussing at you because you got in their way, talking about you falsely behind your back and the list goes on.

They have a form of godliness but no real power!

Now I must say I use to think that people like that wasn't saved at all, and some, well probably most aren't.

But for those who are, they just for some reason always seem to let the devil get the best of them.

Why, you might ask?

Well, because they have not spent anytime with God besides on Sunday, they have not pluged into God's Word and let His Word charged them up.

Also what the saints fail to see is that you don't have to come out of the Spirit realm when you leave the House of God.

The same closeness, strength, joy, and direction you experence on Sunday or whatever day you go to church, God intends for you to walk in the rest of the week.

You see, the devil is waiting to ambush you as soon as church is over.

But the measure of someone is not what they are or what they do on Sunday but rather who they are and what they do Monday through Saturday or right after church.

You see the enemy wants to bring to your mind thoughts of fear, doubt, unbelief, and destruction. But its up to you to cast down them thoughts and doubts and keep that joy of the Lord!

This is why we as believers must guard our minds and hearts.

As spiritual creatures, we walk by faith, not by sight.

A person whose eyes, ears and mind are directed toward the world and the things of the world finds it hard to hear God speaking to him.

Jesus always wants to talk to you, at work, lunch, everwhere. But its up to us to be in a place so that we can hear from Him.

In fact, I hear from God sometimes when I'm just driving down the street at work out of the blue.

You see our inner man is always willing but our natural man resists.

That's why Jesus Himself told His disciples to watch and pray..... the spirit is indeed willing but the flesh is weak.

That's why we as believers must live and walk in the Spirit because it keeps us on the right path.

So in ending this post let's walk and be led by the Spirit and you won't gratify the desires of the sinful nature and just be a Sunday Christian!
